Granddaddy Purple is a famous Indica strain, especially popular in the US where it’s also known as Grand Daddy Purps or GDP. This strain was created back in 2003 by Ken Estes so it’s had plenty of time to grow its following and ingratiate itself with smokers across the continent both amateur and experienced. The strain was birthed from the crossing Purple Urkle and Big Bud, it resulted in a strain that truly captures the best of both strains. The gorgeous deep purples from Purple Urkle and the dense fruitful buds of the aptly named, Big Bud.
